A BIT ABOUT ME
I started cutting hair at 14, practicing on my little brother, Johnny in our garage. Those moments were more than just haircuts—they were about connection, trust, and helping each other feel more confident in a world that wasn’t always kind. Tragically his life was cut short at the age of 16 by street violence. Losing him devastated me, but it also became the driving force behind everything I do today.
I know what it’s like to grow up in a rough neighborhood, feeling like all the odds are against you. I do this work in my brother’s memory, determined to create opportunities for the youth who live in areas where hope seems out of reach. The Freshly Cut Foundation isn’t just about barbering; it’s about giving second chances, offering mentorship, and providing a path forward for those who need it most. My faith in God has guided me through the toughest moments, and it continues to fuel my passion to help others.
As a father of three boys, I feel a deep responsibility not just to them but to the next generation. I want to raise my sons to be men who will serve others and lead with purpose, knowing that life’s challenges can be overcome through faith, determination, and community.
Whether you’re a high school student needing guidance or someone who wants a fresh start, the Freshly Cut Foundation is for you. We are committed to breaking down barriers and providing the resources to create a path to your success.
